From 11 to 15 November this year, the library of the National Aviation Academy took part in the 9th Baku International Book Fair 2023 dedicated to the 100th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev, organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
More than 30 foreign organizations from 11 countries, 109 local publishing and printing enterprises and university libraries, as well as book houses took part in the exhibition held in Baku Expocentre. Numerous book presentations, "signing days", seminars with the participation of famous poets and writers, scientists, as well as poetry hours were held within the framework of the Fair.
The participation of the library of the National Aviation Academy (NAA) in this event was successful, the stand of our Academy attracted the attention of a wide public. At the stand allocated to the library of the National Aviation Academy (NAA), new books included in the list of the Foundation were exhibited, as well as NAA periodicals and a video about our Academy were presented. Along with the publications on the NAA stand, the Fair visitors were provided with extensive information to cover the e-services provided by the library, as well as about international databases. Books on the life and activity of Heydar Aliyev, the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, aroused great interest.
Presentation of the book "Heydar Aliyev and Civil Aviation of Azerbaijan-100" prepared by the Azerbaijan Civil Aviation Museum functioning at the Academy was held on November 13. A number of speakers made speeches at the presentation, which aroused interest of a wide audience. At the end of the presentation, the book "Heydar Aliyev and Civil Aviation of Azerbaijan-100" was handed over to the participants.
Participation of students of the National Aviation Academy in the exhibition did not go unnoticed. Besides, the participants of the event who familiarized themselves with our stand were presented gifts from the Academy.
During the Fair, representatives of various media got acquainted with our stand, made photo and video.
The National Aviation Academy was awarded a diploma for successful participation in this event.
