Aerospace Engineering – 050601 specializes in projecting, manufacture and operation of modern aviation and rocket and space technology. Bachelor degree in this specialty is carried out in three directions – aerospace mechanics, electronics and control systems.

Thanks to the acquired knowledge, skills and abilities, students of the specialty of Aerospace Engineering are formed as highly qualified specialists in modern aviation and rocketry, design of spacecraft systems, power plants and engines, design methods for electrical, radio, devices, production and service technologies.

The curriculum of the specialty of Aerospace Engineering – 050601 covers the modern requirements for specialists in the aerospace industry. The curriculum is based on the experience and requirements of leading scientific and educational centers, industrial enterprises and companies engaged in the design, manufacture, testing and operation of aviation and rocket and space technology.

Meanwhile, the curriculum of the specialty of Aerospace Engineering – 050601 was developed, in accordance with the requirements of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), Azerbaijan Aviation Regulations (AAR) and the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).

The normative period of study in the specialty of Aerospace Engineering – 050601 at the National Aviation Academy is 4 years for the Bachelor degree students studying in the Azerbaijani and Russian languages, and 5 years for students studying in English.

This experience will allow future engineers who have chosen aviation technology to obtain an aircraft maintenance license.

Graduates, who have successfully completed the curriculum, thanks to their professional competencies will deal with modern aircraft, maintenance of various aircraft and helicopters, design, manufacture and operation of aviation and rocket and space technology, the structure of manned and unmanned aerial vehicles, functional, energy, control systems, power units, and engines.

Graduates, who have successfully completed this broad engineering specialty, in addition to aviation and rocket and space technology will have an opportunity to work in leadership positions and professions as design engineers, mechanical engineers, electronic engineers and software engineers at enterprises and companies of various purposes, including transport, energy, oil and gas industry, manufacture of machinery and electronics for general and special purposes, operation of power gas turbine plants and complex electronic control systems.
