The National Aviation Academy (NAA), the first and only higher education institution in the country in the civil aviation, hosted a "Graduation Day". The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan Firudin Gurbanov, Vice President of Azerbaijan Airlines, Head of the Department of Aircraft Operations Ilham Amirov, authorities, faculty, alumni and other guests.
The event began with the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan. A minute of silence was observed in memory of the Martyrs who died for the Defense of our Lands. It was noted that nine graduates of the Academy of Sciences in the 2020/2021 academic year were participants of the 44-day Patriotic War, and three graduates rose to the peak of martyrdom.
Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Adalat Samadov informed that 373 Bachelors and 53 Masters graduated from 6 faculties in 20 specialties. Certificates were presented to the graduates.
Graduation day continued with a concert part. People's Artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan Javan Zeynally, Honored Artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan Lala Mammadova, singer Elton Huseynaliyev gave pleasant moments to the participants.
