Air Traffic Management

The specialty of 050613 – Air Traffic Management involves training of specialists to organize, manage and provide flights (aircraft, helicopters, gliders, drones) with air navigation information. The Bachelor degree in this specialty is carried out in 2 directions: air traffic management and aeronautical data management.

The Bachelor degree students specializing in Air Traffic Management, thanks to the acquired knowledge, skills and abilities are formed as highly qualified specialists in the development of aeronautical information necessary for flight and air traffic management, flight safety and the provision of flight with this information.

The curriculum of the specialty of Air Traffic Management – 050613 was developed in accordance with the requirements of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO Doc. 10056 and ICAO Doc. 7192 Part E-3), the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA EU-340/2015), the State Civil Aviation Agency Aviation of the Republic of Azerbaijan (AAR-PEL). -006-ATC-Licensing-2018).

The normative period of study in the specialty of Air Traffic Management – 050613 at the National Aviation Academy of "Azerbaijan Hava Yollari" is 4 years for Bachelor degree studying in the Azerbaijani and Russian languages, and 5 years for students studying in English.

Graduates, who have successfully completed the specialty of Air Traffic Management, besides their own area will be able to work in various areas, including flight management, planning and manufacture, safety of air traffic and quality system, transport logistics, transport management, flight control of spacecraft - after completing relevant refresher courses and the licensing process, vocational training, vocational education and research in the relevant fields of education and science, in managerial positions and professions in the areas that combine specialized professional activities in general and special aviation.
